To build a factory on a GIDC plot, plan the plot layout first, get drawings and approvals through your architect or consultant, secure the plot with a compound wall, build foundations and the shed or building, then the floor, roads and drainage, then utilities and fire fighting, and finally test and hand over. Planning fire fighting early avoids fire NOC delays.
1. Plan the plot layout
Decide the building position, truck movement, future expansion, fire water tank and utilities on the plot plan before anything is built.
2. Drawings and approvals
Your architect and consultant prepare drawings and handle approvals as applicable. Construction should follow approved, frozen drawings.
3. Secure the plot
A precast compound wall can be installed quickly, securing the plot and material on site.
4. Foundations and structure
Foundations, then the shed or building, with anchor bolts matched to the steel.
5. Floor, roads and drainage
The floor slab, internal roads and storm water drains, planned together so levels match.
6. Utilities and fire fighting
Utility piping, equipment foundations and the fire hydrant and sprinkler systems, planned early so the fire NOC does not delay start-up.
7. Hand-over
Testing, documents and hand-over, ready for machine installation.
