Road Construction in Dahej Plants
- RCC plant roads, approach roads and yards in Dahej

- Drains and crossings built with the road
Road Construction in Dahej
Roads in Dahej plants carry tankers and heavy trucks, and in chemical areas they must stand up to oil and chemical spills. Coastal ground and heavy monsoon make drainage critical. We build RCC plant roads, tanker bays and yards in Dahej with the base, thickness, joints and drains designed for those conditions.
Building in Dahej
Dahej, in Bharuch district, is one of Gujarat’s largest chemical and petrochemical hubs, with big plants, an SEZ and a port. Sites are large, near the coast, and most are chemical or process plants with strict safety systems and permit-to-work rules.
We are working in Dahej right now, at Gulbrandsen Chemicals’ site, after many years with Gulbrandsen at Akalbara. Our crew and supervisors already work to the safety and permit standards Dahej plants expect.

Common mistakes with road construction
- Pouring concrete on soil that was never properly compacted
- Choosing slab thickness by price, not by the heaviest vehicle
- Forgetting crossings for future pipes and cables, then breaking the new road
- Opening the road to trucks before the concrete has cured
What decides the quality and cost of road construction
Traffic and wheel loads
A road for cars and a road for 40-tonne trailers are different designs. The heaviest vehicle, and how often it uses the road, decides the slab thickness and the base underneath.
Sub-grade and base
Most road failures start below the concrete. Weak or poorly compacted soil lets the slab settle and crack. Proper excavation, filling, compaction and a good base layer matter more than an extra inch of concrete.
Joints
Concrete roads need joints at the right spacing, cut at the right time and sealed. Without them, the road cracks wherever it likes.
Drainage and levels
Water standing on or beside a road softens the base. Road levels, camber and side drains should be designed together, and pipe and cable crossings laid before the concrete, not broken in later.

Do you build roads inside Dahej plants?
Yes, plant roads, tanker bays and yards, under the plant’s permit system.
Why RCC for chemical plants?
Oils and solvents damage bitumen, and heavy tankers rut it. RCC usually lasts longer.
Do you plan drainage with the road?
Yes. In Dahej’s monsoon, drains and levels are as important as the slab.
Is the site visit and quote for road construction in Dahej free?
Yes. Our engineer visits your site, studies the requirement and sends a detailed quote, free and with no obligation.
How will I know how the work is going?
You get a daily progress report every evening: manpower on site, measured work done and equipment deployed.
